Schedule maker: build the week, send the link, done

Drag shifts onto a weekly grid, copy last week in one click, and share the schedule as a link. Your team opens it on their phone, no account, no app, and it still opens with no signal in the stockroom. Free up to 10 employees.

Free up to 10 employees. No credit card. $29 a month flat beyond that, unlimited staff and locations.

1

Add your people

First names are enough. No email addresses, no invitations, no waiting for anyone to accept.

2

Drag shifts onto the week

Click a cell, set the hours and the break, or drag a shift from one day to another. Copy last week and adjust. Breaks, rest between shifts and hours over 40 are flagged as you go.

3

Send the link

One link for the whole team. Each person opens it on their phone and sees their week. Change a shift later: the link shows the new version.

What the schedule maker does

  • Weekly grid, Sunday to Saturday, with hours per person added up
  • Copy last week in one click, then adjust
  • Shift templates: opening, closing, mid-shift, one click each
  • Breaks written into the shift, not left implied
  • Warnings for a shift over 40 hours in the week or a short rest between two shifts
  • Shared as a link: no account, no app, works offline once opened
  • Time off and shift change requests land in the schedule, not in a group chat
  • Optional time tracking from the phone or a tablet, and export for payroll

Who it is for

Stores, cafes, restaurants, salons, pharmacies, clinics: teams of 3 to 50 where half the staff have no work email and the schedule used to be a photo in a group chat. The schedule maker was built by a retailer with 18 stores who never found a tool his store managers would actually use. Industry pages: restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacies, all industries.

Schedule maker or schedule template?

If the team is two people and nothing changes week to week, a spreadsheet does the job: the free Excel and Google Sheets templates add up the hours for you. The schedule maker earns its place the first time a shift changes on a Thursday and someone did not get the message, or the first time a closer is scheduled to open with nine hours of rest. The rules by state are in break laws in the US; how to build the week is in how to make a work schedule. In the UK, the same tool with UK rules and vocabulary is the rota planner. For the hours side, the time clock app records clock-ins from a phone or a tablet against the schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Is the schedule maker free?
Yes. Up to 10 employees, with no time limit and no credit card. Beyond 10 employees, or with a second location, the paid plan is $29 a month flat, with no per-employee fee.
Do my employees need an account to see the schedule?
No. You send a link (by text, WhatsApp or email). Each person opens it, picks their name once, and sees their week. No password, nothing to install, and the page still works offline once opened.
Can I print the schedule or export it?
Yes. The week prints on one page, and you can export hours to a spreadsheet for payroll. Most teams stop printing once the link is on everyone's phone.
Does it track hours and overtime?
Time tracking is an optional module: switch it on and staff clock in from their phone or a tablet at the counter, and the hours, breaks and overtime are counted against the schedule. Many teams start with the schedule alone.
How is this different from a schedule template?
A template is a file you fill in; it does not tell anyone the plan changed, does not check breaks or rest between shifts, and lives on one computer. The schedule maker keeps one live schedule that the whole team sees, with the rules checked as you type. If you want the file anyway, the free Excel and Google Sheets templates are here too.
