Time clock app: your team clocks in from a phone or a tablet, and the timesheet writes itself
Open a link on any phone, or leave a tablet at the counter. Each person clocks in with a 4-digit PIN; the time is stamped by the server, a photo is taken, and the location is checked. Hours, breaks and the weekly total are ready for payroll without a spreadsheet. Nothing to install. Free up to 10 people.
Free up to 10 people, schedule included. No card. $29 a month flat beyond that.

Add your people
First names and a 4-digit PIN each. No email needed, no invitation to accept.
Open the clock
Send the link to their phones, or open the kiosk page on a tablet at the counter and pair it to the store. Both work in the browser.
Read the timesheet
Each punch lands in the timesheet with the photo and the location check. Validate the week, export the hours, done.
What the time clock does
- Clock in and out from any phone via a link, or on a tablet in kiosk mode
- 4-digit PIN per person, photo stamped by the server, location checked against the store
- Tablets paired to a location; lost or old devices revoked in one click
- Option to require clock-ins on the store tablet only, no personal phones
- Breaks recorded as a clock-out and clock-in, so unpaid time is real
- Timesheet per person with daily and weekly totals, flags for missing punches
- Hours compared with the schedule: late, early, unplanned shifts visible at a glance
- Employees see their own hours on their phone; corrections requested in the app, approved by a manager
- Export of validated hours per person for payroll
Phone or tablet?
Phone suits teams that work across sites or start from home: each person opens their link, taps in, and the location is checked. Tablet at the counter suits a shop or a restaurant where everyone passes the same spot: one device, paired to the store, PIN and photo, and the option to refuse clock-ins from anywhere else. Most stores use the tablet and let managers use their phone. Both feed the same timesheet.
From punches to a legal time record
Under the FLSA, hours worked by non-exempt staff must be recorded and kept for three years, breaks of 5 to 20 minutes are paid, and an unpaid meal period has to be a real one. The time clock records the clock-in and clock-out to the minute, the break as its own punch, and the weekly total against the 40-hour overtime line. Rounding to the nearest quarter hour, where you use it, has to be neutral: the 7-minute rule. Break rules by state: break laws in the US. Who must clock in at all: exempt vs non-exempt.
Still on paper or a spreadsheet? The timesheet templates and the time card calculator do the arithmetic until the team is clocking in.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the time clock app free?
- Yes, up to 10 people, with the schedule included, no time limit and no card. Beyond 10, or with a second location, the paid plan is $29 a month flat (charged in the currency shown at checkout), not per person.
- Do employees need to install an app?
- No. Clocking in works in the browser on any phone, from a link, and on a tablet at the counter in kiosk mode. There is nothing to download and no account for employees to create.
- How does it stop buddy punching?
- Each clock-in needs the person's own 4-digit PIN, a photo is taken and stamped by the server at that moment, and the location is checked against the store. Tablets are paired to a location, and repeated wrong PINs lock the tablet for five minutes.
- Can I turn off clocking in from personal phones?
- Yes. An administrator can require staff to clock in only on the store tablet or computer, per organization. Clock-ins from outside the store's location are rejected.
- Does it work if the wifi drops?
- The tablet page keeps working and clock-ins are sent when the connection returns; the time recorded is the server time at the moment of the tap, so a slow network does not change the punch.
- How do the hours get to payroll?
- Every clock-in and clock-out appears in the timesheet per person, with breaks and the daily and weekly totals, flagged when something looks wrong (a missing clock-out, a shift far from the schedule). A manager validates and exports the hours per person for payroll.
